Mrs. Bixby is great. I also liked City of Ember (how long will it take them to figure out where the city is?) and Fish in a Tree (how do people compensate for a learning disability when they don't even know they have one?)

I'm looking for a 2019 Bluestem book to read aloud in library, hopefully with which we can work on extended response.  
I love Counting Thyme and Ms. Bixby's Last Day but am also thinking of Diamond Willow...mostly because it is shorter.  What do you think, collective mind?
