We will be going 1:1 in the next 6 months or so with Chromebooks. As the librarian, what did you do in the months leading up to the initiative or in the first year. I have a fairly good budget, about $1 per student, but with the amount of materials that are lost or not returned every year, I am never in a building the collection faze; I am constantly in a recovery faze for the collection.

I don't have a technology or digital resource budget, so how did you balance your print needs with your digital needs. Essentially what did you do to support the 1:1, and what resources are musts.

I have also been told that in the next year I need to make decisions about what I want my library to look like in terms of a 21st Century Library.

In other words, I need to restructure, rearrange, and change a considerable amount of things in here. I love the challenge, but am not sure of how to move forward. What would be on your wish lists for the 21st Century Library? Fortunately, I have some time, but I need to start reading and looking so that I am prepared.

Love the challenge, but feel overwhelmed.
