[AISLE-Share] Foam for behind books on shelf

I have been thinking of the same thing, especially for the fiction section
because the books are generally shorter. My shelves are light stained
wood, so I thinking of having 2x4's cut to length and then staining them to
match so it blends. Home Depot will cut them for free and I can do the
sanding and staining at home myself. Has anyone else tried that?
