You could do a lesson on speech bubbles and use the Elephant and Piggie
books. Kids love to create their own stories using speech bubbles! Also,
there is a Pigeon app available ($) that allows users to record a story
based on "Don't let the pigeon ______". I've used the app many times and
it is always a huge hit. Perhaps you could connect it to teaching
beginning, middle, end? Finally, you could always discuss character
traits, *compare* character traits or have students use persuasive writing
to identify their favorite character (Elephant vs Piggy).
Best of luck!
