I just did this...but on a budget. I first got a refrigerator, microwave
and coffee pot replaced---my attendance of staff increased quite a bit and
now I have lunch with students every day--we watch documentaries, talk
about books they are reading and so on. Sometimes they just need the study
area or time to collaborate with other students.

I also got tables of varying length and height. I have three varieties of
tables an chairs so students can use them how they see fit. EVERYTHING in
my area (except my desk) is on wheels. I can change the entire room in a
matter of 10 minutes. It is fantastic. I also have tables that flip the
tops to go flat against the walls for when we do yoga, meditation or have
presentations.

Other things like the lego wall, knex sets, snap circuits, STEM carts with
supplies came next. I also have pub style tables for innovation tables when
students/staff need to meet and talk about a topic (I have a topic board to
get them started in the morning).

It's really what is good for you and your space. Don't leave yourself out
of the equation with items---make sure you are comfortable and then move
forward--I was not with a couple of things but pushed them through because
I was told too and items just sit there with dust.

Happy to send you any pictures if you like as well (email off thread
please).

Thanks!
