RAILS will offer a webinar called "Developing Diverse Children's and YA Collections" with Betsy Bird on Tuesday, November 13, 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Attendees will come to understand the truly active nature of Collection Development and why it is essential to creating and maintaining book collections that reflect the lives of all their patrons as well as the lives of people they may not know. Tips, tricks, and tools will be provided, offering a glimpse into how to track down the best books by the widest range of people.

RAILS is partnering with the Illinois State Library, an ISBE approved provider, to provide PDH credit to those maintaining an Illinois teaching certification. One and a half (1.5) professional development hours (PDHs) will be available for attending this live webinar and completing an ISBE evaluation form.

Registration is open to any RAILS or IHLS library. Log in to L2 for more information/registration: https://www.librarylearning.info/events/?eventID=27802

If you cannot attend the live session, please feel free to register in order to receive an email alert when the recording is ready to view. PDH credit is not available for watching the recording due to ISBE requirements.
