[AISLE-Share] Dear Martin

Good evening all,

I had a great Spring. Last Spring, I won 4 grants for our school’s version of Battle of the Books. Normally, I only win one from these from 4 different organizations. Well, that allowed me to do a different Battle of the Books for each grade. One of the titles is Dear Martin. I had enough in my budget from the grants to order 25 copies. I have 12 to 15 copies of the other titles on this grade’s list. Well, I am starting to promote these reading lists. To my surprise, every copy of Dear Martin is checked out (and the other titles still have plenty of copies available). I haven’t promoted it once. I ordered more copies of it because I thought it would be popular, but would have never guessed that it would be this popular. Anyone else having this phenomenon with Dear Martin?

Sincerely,

Alan Holtz, Librarian serving Brooks Middle School
