[AISLE-Share] Most popular sci fi series?

[Email list for the Association of Illinois School Library Educators]

        Our school library (grades 6-12) will host the theme "Out of the
World October" next month, with a focus on sci fi lit. Our collection
includes *many* series from this genre. However, as I prepare to order some
new books, I wondered if there might be something different/worthwhile to
add to the order.
*        SO my question is: *What sci fi books / series are most popular in
your jr. high and/or high school library?  I'm all ears (or eyes, I guess,
with e-mail!).
