[AISLE-Share] H S book budget

[Email list for the Association of Illinois School Library Educators]

I have a book budget of $.85 per student. I offset this with  A LOT of grant writing in order to have the print and digital books kids need for schoolwork and reading for pleasure. I have been lucky to get enough grants to average $10,000 in books per year.

Here’s to hoping that continues because my book requests just keep growing.

I know that some high schools are eliminating libraries with books - is it still called a library then?

I would like proof that while some schools are eliminating books in the library, there are still many high schools that still see the value of a library with books.
