[AISLE-Share] Bethany Barton author/illustrator visit

Good morning fellow librarians!

I want to share what a great week that we have had here in Crawford
County.  Holly Gallagher, the wonderful Robinson elementary librarian,
coordinated a visit from author/illustrator Bethany Barton.  She is the
creator of the Monarch-nominated book "I'm Trying to Love Spiders" and her
new one, "Give Bees A Chance."

Bethany spoke with the students about her day job as a set designer in Los
Angeles, which was a career that most of them didn't even know existed and
about art and why she thinks books are a WAY better form of entertainment
than anything on a screen.

THEN...she created murals with our kids and they turned out FABULOUSLY!
The students had such a good time and she was SO open and fun with them.
It was an all-around awesome day!  I've attached a few pictures.
