Side conversation as I’m an elementary librarian. My husband is a police office and thought this book did a great job addressing multiple perspectives in a realistic manner. It’s an amazing book. Personally, it should be available in High School libraries (even conservative ones).

It addresses what I expect would be peace and social justce issues that would be part of the curriculum— just as the point of view from a parent who spent thousands and thousands of dollars sending my own two kids through Catholic elementary school, high school and university. My daughter, a Univerisy of Dayton grad, recently rated it 5 stars on GoodReads.

Also, do any of your schools teach this book as a part of the classroom curriculum, not just an extra credit reading choice? We would appreciate any input from you, and you may respond off the list if you prefer to email directly.
