Hi everyone,

We are curious if anyone's school, English department or district has
policies or guidelines for teachers, parents or students on teaching with,
or students reading and writing about, books that deal with sexual
assault/harrassment.

Something like Speak by Anderson was always a popular checkout in my school
library but we never taught with it as part of the curriculum. I know there
are many more contemporary titles that deal with these kinds of topics that
are crucially important for teens but I don't have much guidance on best
practices for how they can be used/safety against challenges, etc.

Any info you have would be very helpful!!

Thanks,
Kara
