I am a librarian at a public middle school and have The Hate U Give in our
collection.

I am also a Catholic and am not real sure what the issue is about having
this extremely well-reviewed book available to what I presume would be a
diverse population in your school. It addresses what I expect would be
peace and social justce issues that would be part of the curriculum— just
as the point of view from a parent who spent thousands and thousands of
dollars sending my own two kids through Catholic elementary school, high
school and university. My daughter, a Univerisy of Dayton grad, recently
rated it 5 stars on GoodReads.
