[aisle] Names for student volunteer helpers in the library

This was my first year having a student library team (SLAMMERS) in Middle School. They created interactive bulletin boards, scavenger hunts, video tutorials, managed maker spaces, read & reviewed books, helped with book fairs, created and maintained social media and the library newsletters, etc. We met Wednesday mornings about once a month for 35 minutes. They agreed they need more time to meet next year. I have a Google Form application students fill out and a teacher recommendation form. They also have to get a signed parent permission to join.

I'm new in the library this year. What responsibilities do high school students usually have when helping in the library/media center? I would love a chance to work with kids and give them more responsibility and ownership in the library, but I'm still learning the ropes and still working on student buy-in given that we have few teachers who support advocating for literacy and collaborating with me.

One of my kids made these badges one year which I thought were cute. He was always clear that HE was the commanding officer. He was a senior in high school, by the way. LOL

Hello,

Does anyone have any creative names for students who help out in the library?

My students have been called Library Helpers for a while because creativity in words is not always my strong suit and they want to be called something else which I said is fine, but they can't come up with anything either!

They are volunteer students who have specific library jobs and give up part of their lunch work time to do this.
They are also in the yearbook with this name.

Thanks in advance!
