[aisle] Library Visits K-5

We have a "mixed" schedule. I have K and 1 every week for 30 minutes where
I introduce books, authors, connect maker activities to books, introduce
robots and support K and 1 teachers in their SS and Science Inquiry Unit by
focusing on Information Literacy Skills and Digital Citizenship (I use some
Common Sense Media lessons and support with BrainPop on those topics). I
also am available to support and push in, pull small groups, co-teach
during their SS/Science Units if need be.

2-4 is flex as dictated by the teachers in supporting their lessons with
books, authors, information literacy, digital citizenship and internet
safety either as a pushin, co-teach, pullout or small group. I did end up
having a "set flex" hour with 4th this year as it was challenging meet all
the standards. It gave me an opportunity to book talk, show book reviews,
do other lessons. The teachers stayed and jumped into the lessons (as
collaboration time was tough to find), so not a true co-teach but a model
where the teacher was with me. There were days when that "flex" hour
didn't work as I may have scheduled time with another class. 2nd did have
a regular 20-minute scheduled book checkout, but most of my lessons were
embedded into the curriculum with the teacher.

Kind of complex. Wasn't perfect. Depends on the teacher and your
relationship with them and their stye. Some love working with others;
others prefer you pull out...always a work in progress. I hope this helps a
bit.
