[aisle] Construction wall

I'm looking for ideas to build a construction wall much like a LEGO wall.
I've seen the BRIO Construction kits and wondered if anyone has transformed
that into a wall. Does anyone have a recommendation for a construction
wall? I'm thinking of wood, gears, pulleys, pegs, etc.
