[aisle] AISLE Statement on CPS Strike

[Virtual Communications AISLE]

Good morning Librarians,

Please find attached a statement from the AISLE board members about the
current CPS Strike.  The board members challenge Mayor Lightfoot & CEO
Janice Jackson to stop talking about how important literacy is & do
something about it. A library & licensed librarian in every school is a
good start.

Remember that the AISLE board is here to help any school district who is
having issues retaining their licensed school librarian and/or library.
Please email any board member when you have concerns.
