Program Title: Smooth Transitions: Developing Information Literacy in the In-Between Places



Librarians frequently collaborate across different types of libraries to support our patrons and develop their information literacy skills. While there are many conversations about librarians collaborating to support our learners in their transition from high school to academia, there are also meaningful librarian information literacy collaborations that occur at other transition points as well. This can include the transition from the workplace back to university or public and school libraries’ support of K-12 learners during breaks from school or after graduation. For the LIRT President’s Program at ALA Annual 2020 in Chicago, we are seeking panelists who can share how they have worked across library types to develop information literacy in these “in-between” places. If you have participated in a program or collaboration that fits this description, please consider submitting a 250 word proposal using the form below. Proposals received by Friday, October 25th will receive first priority.
