Good morning Tricia,

I emailed SE Hinton directly and she quickly gave permission to use the Outsiders. I would suggest you do the same. Here contact information is on her website. Unfortunately, she didn't have a digital copy, but I found one someone improperly posted and copied it and then put it correctly for one of my teachers.

Sincerely,

Alan, Librarian serving Brooks Middle School

I have a couple of teachers who usually do class novels and are still wanting to do those novels even though we are in remote learning. I am looking for PDF copies or anything that would still give them the freedom to do the novels and let the kids have the text.

I am looking specifically for "Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio" by Peg Kehret and "The Outsiders" by S. E. Hinton.

Thanks for any help you can give!
