It’s on Epic as a free audiobook-I would recommend using that.

I would be concerned about having students sign up for their own Spotify accounts.
On the legal terms and conditions page<https://www.spotify.com/us/legal/end-user-agreement/>, it says you need to be 18 or be 13 or older with a parent's permission.
The Spotify Privacy Policy<https://www.spotify.com/us/legal/privacy-policy/> specifically says it is not for children under 13.
See below for the text from their privacy policy.
Also, are the audiobooks on Spotify there legally?

I think we should be concerned about student privacy issues.
Here is an SLJ Article from Dr. Kristen Mattson.

EXCERPT FROM SPOTIFY PRIVACY POLICY
11. Children

With the exception of Spotify Kids, a separate Spotify application available in certain markets, the Spotify Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 years. The Spotify Service is also not offered to children whose age makes it illegal to process their personal data or requires parental consent for the processing of their personal data under the GDPR or other local law.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years or under the applicable age limit (the “Age Limit”). If you are under the Age Limit, please do not use the Spotify Service, and do not provide any personal data to us.

If you are a parent of a child under the Age Limit and become aware that your child has provided personal data to Spotify, please contact us using the ‘Contact Us’ form on the Privacy Center<https://www.spotify.com/privacy/plain>, and you may request exercise of your applicable rights detailed in Section 3 ‘Your rights and your preferences: Giving you choice and control’<https://www.spotify.com/us/legal/privacy-policy/#s3> of this Policy.

If we learn that we have collected the personal data of a child under the age of 13 years, we will take reasonable steps to delete the personal data. This may require us to delete the Spotify account for that child.

Hello!

I have a quick question on Audiobook use! My school is doing a 'One Book, One School' during our e-learning transition and I need an option for audio that can be used by multiple students at once that's as easy as possible. I have reached out to local libraries and using hoople/libby but this requires pins and numbers and I know some students will not do this because there are too many steps. I have also reached out to the author and publisher (We're doing "The Parker Inheritance" by Varian Johnson) trying to find some way to find access for my students to listen to this book from their devices as easily as possible. Varian Johnson said we can record ourselves within certain parameters, so that's an option if need be.

Any other suggestions on where I can find "The Parker Inheritance" audiofile for students...? Any and all help is appreciated!
