[aisle] Books returned

We have been discussing this, also.  I did a quick calculation and discovered that we have 4449 books checked out to students at a cost of just under $18,000.  I would like to set up a collection drop for parents and let the books sit for 14 days before checking them in.  Our book budget would not cover a loss like that.  I too would like to hear what others are thinking.

I believe that the free and reduced population will skyrocket as folks have been laid off or furloughed. Even buying a used copy on Amazon now gives me pause.

My question is, how should the returned library books be handled? I know initially discussion involved setting the books aside for a couple weeks.
