Good Day All:

RE: Library book returns
When we return to hybrid in-person learning, our 4th - 8th LRC grade
procedure will have students returning books into bins as they enter the
building each day. The content of bins will be quarantined for 4 days, *then
*checked in - zero handling of books until post-quarantine. We are
implementing BookHub (think GrubHub) -- many thanks to Shannon
McClintock-Miller for this great concept/idea. Students will self-select
books via Google Forms (print forms for younger kids until appropriately
trained) and Follett Destiny. We'll deliver print books outside their
classroom door for pickup to bring home as they leave the building.

Our process is driven by two basic premises:

1) Keep kids reading print material along with ebooks.
2) Keep kids reading safely.

All check-out limitations and rules are SUPER relaxed until we get to the
other side of this pandemic.

Be Well,
Sharon
