[aisle] Follett eBooks vs. Sora

I established my one-year "subscription" amount with my Overdrive rep,
which is my Overdrive Contract that is paid upfront. That entire cost is
then available to purchase content in the Overdrive Marketplace. It is not
a separate subscription fee like they had previously. I'm throwing out
random numbers- if my fee is $4000, I get to select $4000 in books. How
that first fee is priced- I don't recall, I think they give you a
number based on your users.

 The other awesome thing about Overdrive is that you can "rent" a class set
of books to deliver to students via email link. I think it gave the
students 60 or 90 days to read the book. Those books expire and cannot be
re-assigned. I did bill that cost to the general instructional supplies
budget, (with principal approval) not to the library budget, and not to
my $4000 content credit. I just managed the purchase as the Overdrive Admin
at my school.

Overdrive also provides sales and free books from time to time as the
publishers allow. I picked up a bunch of <$5 books last spring, good
titles, too.
