[aisle] Delivering Books via Busses

We will be delivering books via our Deans’ Assistants, who will also be doing well-being checks when a student goes AWOL from class. To request a book, the students fill out a Microsoft Forms page. They can specify a book or just a subject, even, and we will pick. I pull the books, check them out to the students for the quarter, label them with address, and DAs take them. Returned books sit for one week before being checked in (district choice, I know it can be less). I plan to go in once a week to pull any requests and label for delivery, check in, etc. No requests yet but today is only day four of school.

We are “back to school” virtually but have been given the okay to have students put books on hold and have our busses make the deliveries. Are any other schools doing this? Trying to create a plan of attack…
