[aisle] Delivering Books via Busses

We are a high school library. No students at all are allowed in the building. Therefore we have left a book drop box and cart of requested pre- plastic-packaged pre-checked ouT books on a cart just outside our security desk in the vestibule of the school. Students request books from our “ask a librarian” google form which links to our school email. So far we’ve had one customer who is one of my cross country runners. She volunteered to be the test drive. She typically reads 6-9 books a week. She misses real books.

I will take photos tommorrow and post.

Hello! This would be a great opportunity for me at our elementary school, to deliver books to the bus stops that are along our meal distribution routes. We are strictly doing distance learning at this time with our students. The paraprofessionals and some of our other support staff, ride buses and deliver breakfast, and then again, lunch to our students. So, we are making two runs per day to reach out to our students. Any ideas on book distribution to those kids on those bus routes would be welcome!
Thank you,

Hi,
We are “back to school” virtually but have been given the okay to have students put books on hold and have our busses make the deliveries. Are any other schools doing this? Trying to create a plan of attack…
Thanks,
Amy Bendall
