Denese,

I love your site. I hope you don't mind but I used it to help build mine. We are in person but I wanted to have something in place so if we did go remote it would be in place. The students have to request a book with a Google Form and I pull it and get it to the students. We didn't want the students to touch the books because then i would have to pull them and set them aside. On that note did you hear about if the time of a book being put aside got increased? One of my aides sent me a message last night about them having to be set aside for 7 days.

Hi,

We are remote and we started checking out books to students this week. All of the details can be found here: https://sites.google.com/view/hsd36library/more/fall-2020-book-check-out

It's not quite "curbside" because the books are placed on a table (in plastic bags with their names on them) just inside the front entrance. Students/parents must come in and get them.

It's going well so far! I am a solo librarian but I have time each morning to pull books. We are a PreK-8 building with just under 400 students.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions and feel free to use anything on the site.

Hi,

Is your district remote and doing a curbside or other book checkout/pickup plan? Our librarians are hoping to get books into kids' hands but our district wants a proposal from us.

Please reply if you are remote and doing a book checkout program. District 97 librarians would love to hear from you.
