[aisle] Google Forms: Don't make copies???

Hi, everyone,

We just had a Google Form go majorly wrong, and I want to see if anyone can
offer insights.

One of my administrators sent a Google Form to students (asking if they
want to tutor their peers). My coworker and I made a copy of that Google
Form and made changes to it (asking teachers for recommendations of
students of color).

Our edits to the COPY applied to both copies -- the one that already went
out to students *and* the one we were only still proposing should go to
teachers. And it looks like our administrator remained the owner of the
COPY.

So now students are seeing and filling out the Google Form asking teachers
to recommend students of color. My administrator is editing the original.
Upon her request, I have "deleted forever" the copy -- quote from Google
Drive language, not my admin.

Does anyone know what went wrong here? Is making a copy of a Google Form
different than making a copy of a Google Doc?

Thanks for your insights!
Kate
