[aisle] Alternatives to Wipes

This is what I sent to our teachers:I've had some questions about cleaning
our electronics.
*iPads:* I checked the Apple website and they say, "*Using a 70 percent
isopropyl alcohol wipe or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gently wipe
the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display,
keyboard, or other exterior surfaces. Don't use bleach. Avoid getting
moisture in any opening, and don't submerge your Apple product in any
cleaning agents.*" The key is NOT to let any moisture get into the
machine itself. Damp, not drippy! (I'm rather surprised that they'll allow
a Clorox Wipe...but that's what it says.)

*For SMART boards and Chromebooks (information came from their support
websites):*70-90% isopropyl alcoholIsopropyl alcohol comes pre diluted and
no mixing is required. For concentrations above 90%, dilute accordingly
with distilled water.

We recommend using a spray bottle for applying the solution *to the cloth *to
avoid oversaturating it.
Note: Test a small, inconspicuous area before you clean the entire surface.
To clean the screenYou will need two lint free, non-abrasive cloths for
this procedure. (Like an old t-shirt. NOT a Norwex cloth or other
"antibacterial cleaning cloth".)

   1. Turn off any connected computers.
   2. Turn the display off.
   3. Wipe all surfaces with the first dry lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to
   remove dust and debris.
   4. Gently spray a small amount of the water or cleaning solution on the
   second cloth.
Note: Do not oversaturate the cloth to the point it is dripping.
   5. Wipe the screen with the dampened cloth.
   6. After wiping the screen, wipe off the remaining SMART Board surfaces
that one can normally touch, such as the frame, pens, and other accessories.

Again, "Damp, Not Drippy" is the key. Do NOT use a Clorox Wipe on a SMART board
or Chromebook screen, lest it damage the non-glare coating.
