Hello!

Our English department is actually getting money this year to buy books for
curriculum. Yay! It's the first time since I've been at this school which
has been six years now that they have gotten to select new titles. Our
sophomore teachers would like to incorporate some lit circles/book clubs
using student choice of books into their regular and honors curriculum for
the first time. Double yay! However, the timeline for choosing is shorter
than I would like it to be so I'm trying to work quickly.

The class focuses on world lit titles (but it is also flexible), and I am
currently working on creating a list of suggestions for them to work with.
If you have any suggestions of titles that your high school students
responded well to that fit into the world literature category I would love
to add them to my list of titles to research. We would especially love more
contemporary YA titles. I will share the whole list back to the listserv
once I've finished compiling if you would prefer to email off list.

Thank you!
