Yesterday, the American Association of School Librarians published the revised School Librarian's Role in Reading position statement (2020). This document offers support for your leadership in promoting reading, reading instruction, and literacy learning in your school and community.

Please read it. Self-assess your literacy leadership. Determine your strengths and how you can grow. Share this document with your administrators and colleagues and use it to guide your work to elevate the literacy learning and teaching in your school.
