[aisle] High School Genrefication Nonfiction

I am in a small elementary school library but I have done kind of a
hybrid. I have left all the Dewey spine labels as they are, but then
divided the books into some broad categories, identified with a sticker and
a sign. For some areas, like "Animals" there is no change. In some cases
however I moved books into a more logical location for my students. For
example, I have a group labeled as "Astronomy." In this category I have
all of the 500s about space and planets, etc., but ALSO all of the 600s
that deal with spaceships and rockets etc. Same with "United States."
Since I am only K-5, I have moved all of my 300s dealing with immigration
and suffrage for example into the United States division. The spine label
remains the same, but with United States sticker they are groups where kids
might actually find them.

If in the future the next librarian does not like my arrangement, they can
just rearrange those books by Dewey.
