Holly,

We have a set of ten Oculus Go VR sets for the classroom, and teachers have really taken advantage of using them. Here is an article from one of the first lessons in September: https://news.illinoisstate.edu/2019/09/bug-eyes-and-blimp-rides-u-high-teachers-engage-students-with-virtual-learning/

They have also used them for psychology to view the brain, anatomy for models of the systems, and even in English to tour the Coliseum while they were studying Ancient Rome and the Hunger Games.

We also have an Oculus Rift in the library which students use primarily for gaming, but they have toured the space station and visited the White House to meet with the Obamas.

I think having at set for your library would be great! They have so many practical ways to allow students to experience other places when a field trip might not be feasible.

Always,
Amy Brokaw

Does anyone have any experience using and housing VR headsets? We are thinking of applying for a grant to get the following model. However, I wasn't sure about their durability? How have you implemented them in the classroom?
