Dear Martin by Stone is 4.8.
Maybe take a look at the reluctant reader lists from ALA for the past couple years and check reading levels. Some great titles on those lists...

I just read Ghost Boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes. It has low reading level and would make for interesting discussion.

Subject: [aisle] High School Hi/Lo Novel Suggestion?

Hello! Any recommendations for a stand-alone novel for high school English students at a 4th-6th grade reading level? (aside from Orca) The teacher is looking to update the class reading list and would like a book with high school-age characters/situations.

Thanks in advance!
