I agree with, Gretchen. Many of Brené Brown’s books will be inspiring and useful to educators.

I reviewed her book Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts (2018) on my blog last week: http://www.schoollibrarianleadership.com/2020/01/13/professional-book-review-dare-to-lead/

Best,
Judi

I suggest Dare to Lead by Brene Brown. There are resources online on the Daring Classrooms website<https://brenebrown.com/daringclassrooms/> that connects the text to teachers specifically. I am a huge fan of her work! It's not about teaching content though. It's all about culture and leadership skills.

Hello librarian hivemind,

My principal is looking to purchase professional texts that would be available for staff to borrow from the library. I was wondering if you had some suggestions of great professional reads.

Thanks.
