Judges needed! Sign up by Wednesday, July 15!
Please share with other library staff members. Judges do not have to be librarians, but do need to work in a library.

Searching for Judges!
The Soon to Be Famous Illinois Author Project<https://railslibraries.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2c51285b8d63e23716bce030f&id=00fb7b751b&e=aae21232d2> needs judges. We are especially looking to recruit judges who are people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, or members of other historically underrepresented groups. Judging is open to any library staff member with an interest in being part of this fast-growing nationwide project. Sign up to judge<https://railslibraries.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2c51285b8d63e23716bce030f&id=e376e414d5&e=aae21232d2>!

The Project is for anyone in Illinois! We hope that by diversifying our judging pool it will lead to more diversity among our submitting authors. Share with your colleagues. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Judges will be required to read six to seven books (YA or adult fiction) over an eight- to ten-week period starting in August. Entries are now being vetted through BiblioBoard and Library Journal and will move to our judges for the first round. Judges will have three or four books, to begin with, then will read the three finalists in the last round. All judges need to fill out a brief evaluation forms for each title.
