[aisle] Monarch/Bluestem

They have to go through a process where the committees contact the authors and illustrators first, and they verify that all of the titles will be available from publishers for people to purchase. It’s a little time consuming for the committees. And then I believe that the announcement is made after the voting for this current’s year list is done which is March 15th. That’s the deadline to get all votes turned in for both Bluestem and Monarch, and I believe the Abe Lincoln award at the High School.
