[aisle] Non-Cert/Coronavirus

We received the below message from our area liaison, Kim McCormick, that
address both COVID-19 and non-certified concerns:

The IEA webpage, https://ieanea.org/,  has a link that will connect you to
various resources in order to answer questions you may have regarding the
COVID19 situation.  Please note that ISBE has also put forth a document for
schools.  I would strongly advise you to become familiar w/ what they are
suggesting so that IF your school moves towards closing, you will be
prepared.



Additionally, ESPs are hourly employees.  Therefore please be aware that
typically if they don’t work, they aren’t paid.  However, under the current
circumstances I would strongly suggest talking w/ your District in order to
brainstorm options for them instead of just no pay, taking sick/personal
time, etc.  Maybe there is other work they could do, maybe they could work
from home, etc.
