Please excuse cross-posting.

As we work to adjust to life during coronavirus, many of us are on the lookout for positive educational opportunities that can bring us together, if only in a virtual sense.

April is Citizen Science Month<https://scistarter.org/citizensciencemonth>, an annual event to celebrate and promote all things citizen science: amazing discoveries, incredible volunteers, hardworking practitioners and inspiring projects. This global celebration includes events hosted by libraries, institutions, community groups, museums and individuals all around the world. Of course, many plans are being reshaped in the face of COVID-19 in favor of virtual options or ones that allow for social distancing.

In the attached flyer, you will see several examples of STEAM activities that patrons can do at home<http://clearinghouse.starnetlibraries.org/161-our-planet-earth> and others, such as GLOBE Trees<https://observer.globe.gov/do-globe-observer/trees>, that participants can do individually, outdoors, at a safe distance from others. Please feel free to share them with your patrons via Facebook or your library website to encourage them to stay active and learning during this time.

Best,
Sarah
