If anyone wants to have a Monarch expert give a talk at your school, public library, ecology club, etc. Kim White, aka The Natural Naturalist does this. She is part of the Dupage Monarch Project and is a highly sought after speaker. She may even be able to do a butterfly release as she collects eggs and rears butterflies saving them from predators in their egg and larva form.
She has a website www.thenaturalnaturalist.com.

Since our K-3 Book Award is name for the Monarch, I thought I would pass this on to everyone.

Maybe you could do something at school for the students to observe( when we hopefully return from this craziness is over.
As I’m sure you know the population of Monarchs is declining. Here is away you can help the Monarchs.

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, is having a drawing for Milkweed seeds, for Cook Country residents.

They have a list of resources, to help you get started in the fight to save the Monarch.

Don’t have a large garden space? You can do what I am planning on doing.
I am planning on planting a butterfly garden in containers, because I only have my small patio to work with.

Just a few thoughts,
Mary Jo
