I second all of these great benefits and will share that Gale nicely integrates into Canvas, as well. Teachers can add it in Navigation under Settings so that the database shows up on the left hand side of their Canvas page.

I had to go into the Gale Admin website (admin.galegroup.com<http://admin.galegroup.com>), Preferences, and then to Product Specific Preferences. I turned on the Display Content Levels and Display Lexile Reading Levels for my products. Depending on the database, there are options for things like AR and Fountas/Pinnell, too, but I keep those off.

Sarah, when you say that lexile levels can be "turned on," I assume you mean by using the filter feature "content level" on the right of a search? If not, where is this option?

I’m at the community college level now but I still love Gale! We subscribe to Opposing Viewpoints, some of their In Context databases and use their Ebooks for our reference to books. One plus that hasn’t been mentioned yet—Lexile levels can be turned on. I show this to our college reading teachers so they can easily pull up articles on the same topic for different reading levels—perfect for differentiated small groups. Students don’t even know. :)

One thing that students love and teachers appreciate is that Gale will now download a citation for the article being used:

We just subscribed to 2 Gale databases for a one year period. In 2 weeks I'll be presenting to the teachers the many ways they can utilize Gale as well as their students.
My questions: If you have Gale, which educator resources do your teachers like best?
Is there anything in particular you think would be advantageous to highlight to the staff (or the students, for that matter)?
Thanks in advance for any tips. I have some training films and a power pt. from Gale, but I'm interested in what your staff specifically like.
