Our Literacy Specialist, myself and our public library's Youth Services
Librarian wrote for this grant last spring and we got it! Jason Reynolds
will be speaking to J.W. Eater Junior High School in Rantoul on Friday,
December 4th at 9am!!!! We are so, so excited! He was on the CBS morning
show this morning and did a shout out to Rantoul! When we wrote for the
grant we thought we would have him at our school because it was before
Covid took hold of our lives. We are sorry he won't be in our midst but we
are still so incredibly happy and excited.
We went completely remote about two weeks ago so I really hope our students
join the Zoom. Teachers and staff have really been promoting this visit so
fingers crossed. 😊🎉
