Hi all,

I have a 9th grade English teacher doing a Personal Narrative unit looking to use some short excerpts for students to read and analyze before writing their own. So far, we have pulled from Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris and Trevor Noah's Born a Crime. We also talked about something from I Am Jazz by Jazz Jennings or Obsessed: A Memoir of My Life with OCD by Allison Britz. Does anyone have any other suggestions of personal narratives that would be engaging for 9th graders?

Thanks!
