[aisle] [ EXT ] Book Title Help

The Immortalists is definitely adult fiction and doesn’t fit the description the student gave. I mean, I really liked the book, but I wouldn’t give it to a middle schooler and would be shocked to find it in a middle school library to be honest. It’s just really, definitely for adult readers (and the original hardback cover was black with a tree with colored leaves on it).

(Usually I have no idea about these book questions, but for some reason, these ones I know lol).

Thank you all -- I just don't think it's They Both Die at the End based on when he said he read it. Has anyone read The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin? Is that more middle grade/younger YA? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/35663816-the-immortalists

They aren't silhouetted but they are on a bridge and the plot sounds right.

Almost sounds like They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. It was on the Lincoln Award list last year.

Hmm, definitely fits but he claims he read it in 7th grade? I guess I was assuming we were looking for a middle grade battle of the books novel. I'll see if that's what he's thinking.

Thanks!

Hello! I have a student looking for a book that he thinks was on the Battle of the Books list a few years back.

The cover is blue with two kids crossing a bridge in silhouette. The plot was that the kids knew what day in the future they were going to die.

Any ideas? Thanks!
