It's hard to know where others draw the scifi line.* Running out of Time*
by Margaret Peterson Haddix, *City of Ember *by Jeanne DuPrau  and the *Hunger
Games* series by Suzanne Collins all reveal elaborate technology to alter
characters' perception of reality.  *Fuzzy Mud* by Louis Sachar is
technology gone wrong. *The Wild Robot* is about adaptive technology.
