Hello,

This may not work for you, being a bigger school, but just to put it out
there; for our all-remote students (we are also on a hybrid system), one
day a week (on Mondays) I deliver to their house. They fill out the request
form (with their address), I put a post-it with their name on it on the
front of the book, then put the whole thing in a Ziploc bag and put them in
their mailbox or on their front porch. Then I e-mail the student to let
them know I dropped it off. They can return it by letting me know they're
done and I will pick it up on the next delivery, or they can bring it to
the school if they're stopping in for something else. We have two
librarians doing this; I do everyone for grades K-2 and 6-12, and the other
librarian does 3-5. I wear gloves and a mask when getting the books ready
and when dropping them off, just so they are aware I'm being safe. I am in
the process of creating an outside book return out of a rolling trash can
so that I can leave it outside and students can return books and not have
to enter the building.
