[aisle] Mob Mentality in YA lit

I just read *The Assignment* by Liza Wiemer which is similar to *The Wave*.
When the high school students object to an assignment given to by the World
Government teacher to debate for the Final Solution, their protest goes
viral.  It examines multiple perspectives from those who go along with the
assignment, those who protest, and those who aren't sure how much they want
to risk.  It does an excellent job of showing how fast groups side up and
things deteriorate due to social media.
