Maybe He Just Likes You by Barbara Dee. Its not a large mob, but a group of boys sexually harassing Mika, both in person and online. It takes place in junior high. Very good.

When the high school students object to an assignment given to by the World Government teacher to debate for the Final Solution, their protest goes viral. It examines multiple perspectives from those who go along with the assignment, those who protest, and those who aren't sure how much they want to risk. It does an excellent job of showing how fast groups side up and things deteriorate due to social media.

Does anyone have any good suggestions on books that focus on characters struggling with mob mentality and morality? I’m thinking along the lines of The Wave by Todd Strasser, only more current. How people are drawn into things and go along with the crowd, if you will.

I'll be making more of these anyway, so I'll just record myself and explain a little in a video while I'm doing it.
