Hi All,
I created a resource for ELA colleagues at the middle school where I work
to use during National Poetry Month to help weave short bits of poetry by
(mostly contemporary) poets into their classes.
I was inspired by some of the materials I saw on the #TeachLivingPoets
<https://teachlivingpoets.com/> website.

Here's the Poem a Day Project slide deck -
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1SlUk8cH4Wh1F5sE1cYUgied84cvIBUHcCW-AyTDYwrs/edit?usp=sharing
Feel free to use or adapt this if it would be helpful to you.

*Directions for using the slide deck: *

On the calendar (slide 2), click on the name of the poet to get to a slide
with the poem.

On each slide, the title is hyperlinked to the text of the poem (if
available). There is a video/audio to listen to the poem. In the notes
section there is an extension idea for using the poem in class.

Look for the tiny calendar in the lower right of each slide to get back to
the menu.

Best,
Erin
