Black wide tipped Sharpie! Pulling labels is too time consuming!

I thought sharpies looked too messy so I started covering the barcodes with address labels. We put the books on carts in the library to try and sell for 50 cents each. Teachers can have them free. I also post them on paperbackswap.com to trade for other books we need (mostly books assigned for classes or older requested books). However, you do have to pay for shipping. Then I box them up to donate. I am hoping Pilcher Park in Joliet will have their book sale again this year or next year.

Subject: [aisle] Weeding - sticker removal? Old books? Process?

Hello out there.....Very curious if anyone has found an easy way to remove the barcode stickers or do you just blacken them out? After donating to classrooms & students, do you give elsewhere? Please share your process for outdated books.
Thank you!
