*The Assignment* (YA) Liza Wiemer is excellent, and she's a local-ish
author (WI)!
*Letters From Cuba* (middle grades) by Ruth Behar;
*Audacity* (YA novel in verse) by Melanie Crowder;
*Chance: Escape from the Holocaust* by Uri Shulevitz (illustrated memoir)
are also really good.

Another one that I haven't yet read but have wanted to since it was
published last year is *It's a Whole Spiel: Love, Latkes, and Other Jewish
Stories*, edited by Katherine Locke & Laura Silverman.

Also, thank you for starting this thread! This is something that I wish was
on more people's radar when my sister and I were two of the only Jewish
kids in school back in the 80s/90s 😊
